My Ultimate Summer Sweat Sesh

Summer brings to mind so many happy things. The obvious being vacations, sand, saltwater, tan lines, coconut water, fresh fruits and flip-flops! For me, summer is also synonymous fun, outdoor workouts under the sun. I love a good hike with a view, runs along the beach and sunset yoga sessions, but my favorite kind of summertime sweat session will forever be an energizing, high-intensity, total body workout in my local park.
While summer’s still in full-swing, try this equipment-free, six-move routine that will tone your lower body, upper body and abdominals all at once:
1. Squat Jumps: 30 seconds
2. Push-ups: 30 seconds
3. Mountain Climbers: 30 seconds
4. Jumping Jacks: 30 seconds
5. Sit ups: 30 seconds
6. Single leg V-ups: 30 seconds REST

 

This three-minute routine will definitely get your heart rate going! Perform two to five sets based on your personal fitness level.
When you’re done sweating it out, make sure to freshen up. Feeling dirty and sticky after a workout like this is to be expected, especially during the dog days of summer!
